Birds welcome!

Brids welcome!

I put up a couple of bird houses in the front garden this morning, in view of one of our favourite chilling out spots. I hope they get made use of, especially by ‘Flitty Fred‘! (the Graceful Prinias which have made our garden their home, very sweet!)

Dejected Mynah

We’re painting our house at the moment so scaffoldings are everywhere manned by 8 to 10 painters as well. Needless to say, this is a major disruption to the garden, especially that we have had to hard prune quite a number of bushes adjacent to walls.

The other sad thing is that it disrupted quite a number of nesting birds, our Mynah friend here is one of them. I think that this egg is one of theirs.

Hopefully they’ll be finished and out soon. Just in time for the growing season again so that I can take care of my poor garden again.

I love just sitting at the window and watching various birds enjoying themselves in the bird bath. I really don’t think that a garden can be called a garden without a bird bath because it’s such a part of the experience too.

Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend my friends.

Breakfast

Rose-ringed parakeets come to our garden every morning for the breakfast we put out to them. They must like it very much and appreciate it as their numbers increased over time. They actually wait on the surrounding trees and make such a racket until one of us gets out and puts breakfast out!

But it’s something we really enjoy. They are fun to watch as we’re having breakfast!
