Almost done!

I’m afraid we won’t be here to harvest them, but instructions have been left to do so and store them for our return

So happy that this climber has finally decided to flower after being moved from a pot and placed into the ground. It’s got healthy growth now (yes, even in this heat) and these are the first flowers we get on this plant.

The only two limes to fruit on my lime tree (thought it was lemon, but no!). They were this green for a long time so I thought it was time to pick them, cut them, juice them and decide once and for all what type of tree it is. Also, it’s fun picking your own fruit and eating them!

We spread a sand layer over the grass to give it some umph when it starts growing again in the next few weeks. I hope it’ll get rid of the bloody ants or at least, get to be as thick as it was again.

Just picked from the “corn field” which is the kitchen garden! Our gardener had this idea that we can plant and grow corn there, and he did.

This is the result of his efforts (I claim no kudos here) where he planted a grid of 6 x 4 in total – approx 24 plants.

I can’t wait to try them out. Maybe tonight…

This was their last pleasurable encounter. it was pleasurable for me as I picked the bastards up and destroyed them. Bastards.

The gladies are flowering again. I’ve planted about 70 bulbs in this patch and we didn’t think that they’ll flower this season. We thought we planted them too late, considering that the original several bulbs in that patch have already flowered by then, but I noticed that the stalks have come up during the last week, and some have already started flowering!

Quite chuffed to say the least.

I’ve got several colours this time not only the original red, but purples, pinks, peach, yellow and white.

The Buddha Patch survived the summer a lot better than I expected this time. Even the bamboo seem to have finally taken root and are really getting on. Buddha is happy!

I have no idea what type of plumeria it is. You could clearly see that it’s leaves are a bit “weird” and unlike any frangipani I have seen before. The garden centre didn’t have the Latin name (of course) so it should be fun trying to properly identifying it. If you could help, please enter a comment with my thanks.

ehm: identified as Plumeria Pudica, reportedly one of the best you can get. I’ll reserve judgment for a while if you don’t mind. I’m pretty partial to most kinds of Plumerias so I’ll see how this one fairs.

Not many trees are bearing fruit at the moment, well, except for this pomegranate and of course the date palms which are almost ready to be harvested.
