We just picked these beauties from the vegetable patch, the first ever (other than herbs). I shall enjoy eating these, and tonight, I’m going to have a tomato festival based on that single beauty on the tray!

How do you persuade the bairns to eat caulflower Mahmood?
I like it done as cauliflower cheese. Layer of cooked potato slices in the bottom of a casserole dish, then florets of caulii on top of that, then on top, sauteed onions or leeks, and mushrooms. Sprinkle over the grated cheese. Season with a bit of garlic salt, and under the grill.
White cabbage can be nice if it is chopped, and lightly sauteed in butter with some caraway seeds, gives it a bit of piquancy.
