Is okra eaten a lot on Bahrain? If so, how is i usually prepared, or if it’s just your family, Mahmood, how do you prepare it?

Most people n the US know it from Gumbo, but it also gets breaded and fried.

Oh man do we just! There are so many recipes for it as well, the best I like is when it is curried and served with nice lamb machboos.

And before you ask, yes, I shall ask my mother for the recipe and post it! :)

Fantastic, Mahmood! I’d like to try it. I haven’t seen Okra in the main grocery stores here, but it’s gotta be somewhere around here! I love curries, so I can only imagine your mother’s recipe is awesome. I was looking at Lamb machboos recipes and man do those also look good (I love heavily spiced foods… when I make my own curry I tend to make it spicier than most people I know like).
